Fans were left salivating at the prospect of a clash between Chantelle Cameron and Sandy Ryan after a twitter spat on Saturday 4th May. The fire seems to have been stoked following numerous interviews that Chantelle had given at a media day for her Queensberry promotions unveiling the day before.
In an interview with Boxing News, Chantelle stated that she would challenge Sandy Ryan to a bare knuckle fight. The clip was shared on social media, and Sandy was quick to respond with ‘I’ll fight you bareknuckle’.

The back and forth continued, but suffice to say, it definitely adds spice to what would be a fantastic world level clash between two domestic fighters.
After a split draw result against Jessica McCaskill in September 2023, which many people thought Sandy Ryan did more than enough to win, Sandy decided to make major changes.
Moving away from her home comforts in Derby, Sandy split from her long time trainer, Clifton Mitchell, and moved her training camp to the DLX gym in Las Vegas, training under the tutelage of Emanuel ‘Flick’ Savoy.

The move paid dividends straight away, as Sandy bounced back in tremendous fashion in a one sided, four round win against Terri Harper earlier this year, in March.
Subsequently, Chantelle Cameron has not fought since her points decision loss to Katie Taylor in November 2023, so will be keen to get on the winning trail again under Queensberry Promotions.
Social media is a great platform for fighters to raise their profiles and light the fire for future fights.
Whether pre-meditated or not, the back and forth between Chantelle Cameron and Sandy Ryan on social media will only whet the appetite for fans even more for what would be a fantastic fight, should it materialise.
