Robbie Davies Jr, a Liverpool native, puts his career on the line when he faces off against Sergey Lipinets on Pro Box TV’s Wednesday night fights in Plant City, Florida.

Robbie Davies Jr (23-4-0) returns in a real crossroads fight against Sergey Lipinets (17-3-1) on Wednesday night. With four losses on his record, it would be difficult to see where Robbie goes from here, if he were to lose.

This wiłl be Davies Jr’s first fight since retiring against Daragh Foley in March 2023 with an injured ankle as a result of a knockdown. It came at a time when Davies Jr was already on what could be called a comeback, and now it feels like he has to start again, in the tailend of his career.

Speaking to Boxing Social before the Lipinets fight was announced, Davies Jr said; ‘A world title might be a step away from me now with all the young guns coming through. The next fight is going to be for peace of mind. I’ve had a lot of people right me off talking about my age and everything else. I believe my last fight was a freak accident that, you just couldn’t write’.

Sergey Lipinets last fought in November 2023, losing by unanimous decision to Michel Rivera. Lipinets, a year older than Davies Jr at 35, will also be looking to get back on the winning trail.

Pro Box TV’s Wednesday night fights has given young, up and coming fighters a chance to fight under the lights, live, via the Pro Box TV app and the popular Pro Box TV You Tube channel.  It’s also a spotlight for fighters that haven’t quite made that step up to the big time, or have fallen out of contracts.
