With four days to go before the fight for the undisputed title, it was time for the red carpet grand arrivals event in Saudi.

What is now becoming the norm for big boxing events, especially in Saudi, the grand arrivals gives a chance for all of the fighters on the card to take centre stage for photos and a few sound bites for the media.

It adds to the glitz and glamour of the occasion and gives the lesser known fighters a chance to raise their profiles.

The two big hitters entered the stage last of all, both seeming in good spirits and very relaxed.

‘I feel good’. Usyk told Ade Oladipo on the DAZN broadcast.

Usyk explained how he always stays calm on big occasions, fighting away from home the majority of the time.

‘I like boxing. I can go to different countries and it doesn’t matter, because I like boxing and my Lord helps me.’

Tyson Fury was lapping up the atmosphere and looking every bit the showman.  Asked how he deals with the big occasion, Tyson told the DAZN broadcast.
‘I’ve had plenty of fights, fought plenty of good men. This is nothing new for me.’

This is a 50-50 fight in most people’s eyes, and Fury thinks that this is fair.

‘People have a right to doubt me. You can only go on Usyk’s last fight with Dubois and my last fight with Francis Ngannou.  People have their own opinions.’

Tyson’s sleek-looking physique has sparked discussion about his weight. Fury was open about what he’s weighing in at the moment and what’s given him the fire for this fight.

‘I’m about 19 stone. I’m in good shape, I’ve had two or three camps back to back. People say to me all the time I’m looking skinnier, but I’m using the same scales that I have for the last 10 years.

‘A year ago I was retiring from boxing. The big fights couldn’t get made and there were no more opportunities. However, his excellency Turki Alalshik brought me back from being too far gone.

‘I believe in fate and destiny. I was watching a video back today of when I was 28 stone, sparring. I was thinking, I’m a bad man. To come back from that in 2017 and become heavyweight champion of the world again, it’s been an amazing journey.’
